It's a first for me, I always push through and finish a book, but this was just far too painful! It's an incredibly immature book where the main character seems like a spoilt self obsessed prima Donna. You get to read all about how beautiful, popular and wealthy she is, she just can't pick which "really gorgeous" boy she wants. This book felt like it was written by a teen obsessed with name brands and the latest popular boy (I repeat boy because there are no men here!) The amount of times the characters in this book refer to the main characters beauty makes me think the writer is a bit insecure! I would suggest reading a sample of this book first, it should be enough to scare you off, I'm only glad it was free!Product details

Reece Crawford is the High Priestess of the Doaine Dile Coven of the US from Irish descent. She doesn't have her full powers yet so she is a fledgling, but she was to lead her people as this was her destiny. She is to protect, and guide them to make sure they stay away from doing anything bad such as Black Magic. Black Magic is dangerous and once you use it it's hard to get out of it. There are only three original families left in the coven. The others have been brought in by their own strengths during coven get together. The families of the originals are the Adamson's, the Crawford's, and the Crowley's.
Reece's best friend since they were babies Nathan (Nate) Adamson is the High Priest of the coven. They dated at one time but Reece felt it was best for them to remain friends.
Reece's boyfriend is Piers Winchester he is also a member of the coven. The three of them always hang out together with Piers on one side of Reece and Nathan on the other. Reece also has a twin brother who name is Hunter Crawford; he is totally different from his sister. They all live on campus so that they can get to school which is really cool and so they can keep each other close.
They are getting ready for homecoming game and it's time to announce who the Queen and King will be. The crowd gets excited when Reece's name is called and she makes her way to the area on the field to be with the rest of the girls. The guys are all called next and everyone thinks that the king will be Piers; Reece's boyfriend since she was named Queen. The person who was named King was her best friend Nathan. Everyone was cheering as they got ready for the game. Reece made her way up to her friends to sit so she could watch the game. While waiting for the game to get over Reece decides to take to trip to the snack area to get some hot coco and runs into her twin brother. She ask him to come back to sit with her group. As they were walking back Reece sees a good looking guy who is someone she has never seen. She tries to make her way to her but is unable to due to the crowd. So she starts walking again with her brother and she sees him again and this time she stops dead in her tracks and her brother slams into. She still can't get to where he is to talk to him. The game ends and Reece walks to stand beside the locker room to wait for Piers. While she is stand at the wall waiting for him to come out some guys from the other team see her and decide to attack her. She is so scared and tries to scream for help but they cover her mouth so that she can't make a sound. Nathan happens to open the locker room door and sees his High Priestess Reece getting attacked. He can scene the danger and turns back to the locker room and yells to Piers to come help Reece because she was being attacked. Piers can hear the worry in Nathan's voice and he comes running out right behind Nathan. They fight off the attackers and save Reece from the guys. Something changes with Piers changes when this happens and he brakes one of the major laws and uses Black Magic to get back at the guys who hurt Reece.
I am going to stop here because I don't want to give away what happens next. Pick up a copy of Crossroads for yourself and learn what happens with the Coven. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed this story because of its plot. The concept is not a new one but the other twisted it pretty well to give it a new makeover. I liked the fast-pace of the story though the actual action started a bit late but the overall story is well-paced. The characters are developed no doubt but I felt that Reece’s character wasn’t fully flourished especially I felt that because she is supposed to be the High Priestess of the Coven in future and she is a fledgling now but as she is the main lead her character should have been more confident and crisp which I didn’t find.
The action part is good though it came up late but I liked the touch of humour that was introduced. There are guy issues which interested me and I got to read about some seriously hot warlocks, Vamps, Werewolf, which made this read intriguing for me too.
Over all a good read which have some serious twisted punches here and there which are going to make you go crazy. I would definitely recommend it because it’s worth a shot for sure, so go and grab your copy and enjoy!!!
